Michelle Hicks, MSN, NP-C

I received a master’s degree in nursing and completed the family nurse practitioner program in 1999 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, a BS in Nursing from the University of Texas in 1994, and a BS in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1991.  My nursing experience includes telemetry, medical ICU and case management.  After receiving my NP credentials, I joined a family practice clinic for 5 years where I had the opportunity to serve as preceptor to NP students before relocating to Boise in 2004.  I then joined a rheumatology group where I continue to practice.

I have been teaching on-line nursing students since 2009 in such areas as health assessment, gerontologic nursing, concepts of care, and case management.

I am married and have three children and two dogs.  My hobbies include reading, swimming, hiking,
