Why Boise State?
At Boise State, we have been advancing the education and professional skills of nurses for over 50 years and we were early innovators in offering an online program to registered nurses. We launched our online RN-BS completion program in 2008 and based our courses on the same curriculum delivered in our on campus bachelor’s degree program.
When the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) issued a challenge to increase the number of nurses with bachelor’s degrees to 80% by 2020, we rose to the challenge and added faculty and staff to support an increased enrollment of online students. View the IOM Report.
By May 2017, over 1000 registered nurses from all over the country will have completed their bachelor’s degree through our RN-BS online program.
