Janet Reis – Health Care System Evaluation

Independent Assessment of Idaho Medicaid Dental Program and Statewide Healthcare Innovation Plan (SHIP)

The SHIP program, comprised of a team of researchers, seeks to evaluate the Statewide Healthcare Innovation Plan which aims to create and test a model health care system that focuses on value rather than the volume of care provided. The Independent Assessment seeks to evaluate the activities and performance of the state of Idaho’s Medicaid Dental Health Program.

Partners with University of Idaho researchers, and the Idaho WWAMI Medical Education Program

Additional Information:

Dr. Reis’s research interests include health education interventions primarily for health disparity populations, clinical trial testing, HIV and safe sec strategies, substance abuse, minority health and health promotion. She has worked extensively with physicians in a community hospital based Family Medicine Residency program in the development of clinical research programs.
