Bachelor of Science, Diagnostic Radiology Emphasis
The Diagnostic Radiology Program is dedicated to providing present and future medical imaging technologists an educational experience with a solid professional knowledge base augmented with
- writing skills,
- computer literacy,
- interdisciplinary educational experiences,
- multicultural/multiethnic appreciation,
- professional experiences in a variety of health delivery environments, and critical thought.
Graduates will be awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree and qualify for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credentialing examination.
A Radiologic Technologist utilizes independent judgment to apply knowledge and skills to successfully obtain a diagnostic imaging study while maintaining quality patient care and minimizing radiation exposure.
This program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (20 N. Wacker Dr., Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60606-3182, 312-704-5300).
