Lucy Zhao, MSN, MPA, RN

Lucy ZhaoLucy Zhao, RN, MSN, MPA, clinical instructor, joined the School of Nursing in 2010. Prior to joining the School of Nursing, she worked as an RN in the acute care hospitals in Texas. Her clinical expertise is nursing care for adult medical-surgical patients. Ms. Zhao is interested in nursing education. Currently, she teaches junior level medical-surgical nursing. She incorporates her clinical expertise and evidenced-based practice into clinical learning experiences for undergraduate nursing students.

Ms. Zhao received her associate nursing degree from Austin Community College and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. She also received a Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, Ms. Zhao is pursuing a PhD in nursing at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her research interest is aging and gerontology. She is a member of the National League for Nursing and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. Ms. Zhao serves on the International Nursing Opportunities Committee at the School of Nursing.
