Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Nursing
Jennifer Stock, an experienced educator and family nurse practitioner, joined the School of Nursing as clinical faculty in 2016. As a professor, Stock’s interests include multi-layered learning, high-quality simulation, and fostering personal growth. Stock’s clinical expertise includes family practice, pain management, and mental health, and she continues her clinical practice at St. Alphonsus’ urgent care centers as a nurse practitioner.
Stock earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree and taught for 10 years in both graduate and undergraduate nursing programs at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Stock is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Nurse Practitioners of Idaho. In 2009-11, she served on the executive board of Utah Nurse Practitioner Association. She was awarded Faculty of the Year at Westminster College in 2014.
Stock utilizes active learning assignments, interactive group work and actual case studies to prepare nurses to practice with excellence. She is committed to lifelong learning and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Utah. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Idaho with her family.
