Apply to the AT program

Athletic training student in regalia at CommencementThe priority application deadline for the Master of Athletic Training program is November 15th.  Students meeting this deadline will receive preference in the admissions process.  Applications will continue to be accepted until the regular application deadline, February 15th, or until the cohort is full [Summer 2019 application status– OPEN].  Here is how to apply:

  1. Apply to the Graduate College and satisfy the minimum admissions requirements of the Graduate College. International applicants must satisfy the international admissions requirements.
  2. Official scores from the verbal, quantitative, and analytical reports of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are required. The GRE must have been taken within five years of application. Please note that applicants posting verbal and quantitative scores of 33 percent and above will receive favorable attention
  3. A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution of higher learning or a degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education that is judged equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree by the International Admissions Office.
  4. Pre-requisite undergraduate courseswork

  7. Writing Sample – Responses to two Athletic Training specific questions
  8. Minimum of two letters of recommendation are required for application to the MAT.  It is recommended that at least 1 of the recommendations be from an individual directly supervised you and can speak to any prior sports medicine experiences you have gained.
