Elizabeth (Lisa) Frander, DNP, RN, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE

lisa-patho2-e1418168585620Lisa Frander joined the faculty in the School of Nursing in 2014. Dr. Frander instructs in the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program.

Dr. Frander is an accomplished nurse educator with 30 years experience in the fields of nursing and nursing education. She holds an Associate Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, a Master’s degree from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama and obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her research interests include online learning, student engagement, educational technology, and compassion fatigue in online educators..

She is a published author and enjoys speaking at conferences and has presented many times at the international, national, state and local level.
She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She continues to be instrumental in writing curriculum and developing quality online modules that meet accreditation standards. She is very passionate about nursing and strives to instill the same love for the profession in all of her students.
