Chair and Associate Professor, Department of Radiologic Sciences
Director, Diagnostic Radiography Program
Kendrick worked as a MRI, CT and Radiographer for three medical facilities during the eleven years following her undergraduate education. She began assisting as adjunct faculty for the Boise State University Department of Radiologic Sciences in 1998. Kendrick was then hired as full-time faculty for the department in 2001. Her main academic focus for teaching is in the field of radiographic physics, anatomy, and pathology. She served the department as the Radiologic Sciences Clinical Coordinator, is now the Diagnostic Radiography Program Director, and most recently accepted the position as Chair for the Department of Radiologic Sciences.
Kendrick’s graduate research included investigation of disseminating the didactic portion of a radiography program online. Her more recent research has been focused on two areas: 1) development and implementation of interprofessional patient care simulations into the radiography curriculum alongside faculty from nursing and respiratory care; and 2) the ionizing radiation dose considerations associated with using manufacturer recommended exposure ranges for digital radiographic imaging.
Kendrick served for seven years on the executive board for the international professional organization, Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology. She continues to serve as an editorial reviewer for the international journal, Radiography. Kendrick has worked with the authors, Bontrager and Lampignano, of the radiographic textbook, Radiographic Positioning and Related Anatomy, 7th and 8th edition, to revise chapters and workbook lessons. She has also assisted several publishers with various levels of reviewing educational materials.
A central aspect of Kendrick’s life is her family. Her husband is a store director for a signature grocery chain in the local area. She is the very proud parent to six amazing children and grandmother of three beautiful grandsons and a granddaughter on the way.
