Erica Koch Wight, M.Ed, R.T.(R)(M)(QM)

Studio portrait of Erica Wight.Erica Koch Wight earned her Associates Degree from Mesa State College, now Colorado Mesa University, in 1988 in Radiologic Technology. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radiologic Sciences at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas in 1994. Her Master of Education Degree was awarded in 1997 with an emphasis in Educational Technology from City University. She is a registered technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in radiography, mammography and quality management.

Erica has worked in various clinical settings to include, trauma, general diagnostic radiography, and breast imaging. She has been a clinical educator in the hospital setting as well as faculty at Yakima Valley Community College, Fort Hays State University, and the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she was Program Director for the Medical Imaging Programs for 12 years. Currently Erica is working toward her Doctorate Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University.

Erica’s interests include women’s imaging and women’s health, distance education in the radiologic sciences, as well as recruitment and retention of diverse students in healthcare careers. When she is not working she likes to fish with her husband and spend time with her two girls.
