The School of Social Work at Boise State University prepares graduates in Idaho and the Pacific Northwest for beginning social work practice with individuals and families, groups, organizations and communities and for advanced practice with individuals and families. We are committed to human rights, social and economic justice, egalitarianism, and respect for diversity. Campuses are located in Boise, Lewiston, Coeur d’Alene and Twin Falls.

Master of Social Work

The School of Social Work offers both Full-Program masters degree and Advanced Standing masters degree programs. The Advanced Standing Programs are designed for students who have earned a baccalaureate degree from an undergraduate social work program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Bachelor in Social Work

A degree in social work prepares students for beginning generalist, strength-based social work practice, graduate level social work education, and social work licensure. Social work is a profession that is indispensable in contemporary society. Social Workers help people cope with the stresses and challenges of everyday life.

As of July 1st, 2014, the School of Social Work is now part of the College of Health Sciences.
