Assistant Professor, School of Nursing
Faye Carlson is an Assistant Professor of School of Nursing at Boise State University. She came to the nursing program in 2002. Faye received her Nursing Diploma from Rapid City Regional School of Nursing from Rapid City, South Dakota. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Boise State University, and her Masters Degree from Idaho State University. Faye is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, American Association of Critical Care Nurses Association, Neuroscience Nurses Association, and the International Forensic Nurses Association. Faye also completed a Forensic Nursing Certificate program from Kaplan University in 2005. Faye has held a certification in Critical Care Nursing and currently holds a certification in Neuroscience Nursing.
Faye’s areas of interest include fundamentals in nursing, medical surgical nursing, health assessment across the lifespan and teaching in the simulation, skills and health assessment lab.
Faye is the semester leader for the beginning nursing students. She enjoys educating the beginning nursing students. She has also taught med/surg clinical and enjoys the acute care setting.
