Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in the School of Nursing at Boise State University.
Boise State University is recognized for excellence in undergraduate and graduate nursing education and a commitment to service. Our mission/vision is strongly committed to building an academic community of excellence that values diversity. We prepare students to become leaders in nursing, ready to provide caring, holistic and quality nursing services to diverse populations. In addition, students have opportunities for international exchange and access to faculty who have a background in international research and travel.
As you look through our webpages you will find:
- An innovative pre-licensure BS program for students who want to become a registered nurse. The curriculum is forward thinking and prepares graduates for nursing positions now and well in to the future.
- A user-friendly RN-BS program for nurses who want to complete their BS degree in nursing. Our program is known both for high rigor and for high faculty involvement with students. This program will help registered nurses reach their educational goal through meaningful projects that prepare them for the next level of nursing practice. This program is taught entirely online.
- Unique masters program focused on nursing care of populations. Nurses manage and coordinate; yet few programs prepared us to look at aggregates of populations to make data based decisions. This is what you will learn in our masters program. While this program is taught entirely online; faculty are there with you every step of the way.
Faculty and staff in the School are focused on academic excellence, meaningful scholarly pursuits, and service to our profession and to our community. Please take a look through our faculty/staff bios pages to get an idea of faculty interests.
Our School is located in the Norco building on the Boise State University campus in downtown Boise, Idaho. We house a beautiful simulation center, faculty offices, and research space.
Please enjoy our website and we look forward to talking with you about opportunities in the School of Nursing.
