In-depth review of ICD-10-CM guidelines and conventions with an emphasis on practical application of coding in ICD-10-CM.
Courses will be taught by Jaime Sand, an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer. In addition to training in ICD-10-CM/PCS, she holds the RHIT and CCS credentials and has taught coding at Boise State University (BSU) for 7 years.
If you care currently a BSU student, just look for HLTHST 494 in the course schedule. If you are not currently a BSU student and are interested, you simply need to apply as a non-degree seeking student at BSU Admissions. If you have previously attended classes at BSU, you do not need to pay the application fee again. Once this is complete, you can register for the course(s).

*AHIMA has recently announced ICD-10-CM/PCS continuing education requirements for AHIMA certified professionals. Additional information can be found at AHIMA ICD 10 CEU . Per the Recertification Guide, this course qualifies for CEUs: “Post-secondary courses attended for credit, including guided independent study and regular college or university courses. Courses taken in pursuit of HIIM profession-relevant associate, baccalaureate, master, or doctorate degrees, are included. All coursework and final exams must be completed by the December 31 recertification cycle end date—fifteen (15) CEUs for each semester/trimester credit…”
