Greetings from the College of Health Sciences Development Director

Barb Myhre

Boise and Treasure Valley residents care about Boise State University and the College of Health Sciences because they understand that much of our future health care workforce depends on the success of its students. Graduates will become our nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, radiologic technologists and other professional medical specialists. We need those graduates to be the best they can be. And that means making BSU the very best it can be.

Through the generosity of donors, the BSU Foundation is able to offer: 1) scholarships to students, 2) faculty fellowships, 3) research grants, and 4) support to the brightest and the best. The vision of Boise State University is to become a metropolitan research university of distinction. Destination Distinction, the campaign for Boise State University, will raise $175 million or more by 2012 and is the single most important event in the history of this campus. Of that amount, the College of Health Sciences is tasked with raising $18 million for our college’s people, places and programs. This goal will only be accomplished by drawing the broad public and constituencies of BSU into this powerful new vision through the devotion of time, advocacy, volunteerism, philanthropy and related means. Please take a moment to look at our college Case Statement to find out more about the most pressing needs.

I hope that you will use the information on this site to better understand our role in advancing the College of Health Sciences and the many ways that you can invest.

Please join us in helping to make our dreams a reality.

Sincerely,
Barb Myhre
