The
Idaho RADAR Network Center provides free alcohol, tobacco, and other drug information
to
Idaho residents.
The Center, a
Boise State University program, is administered by the
Institute for the Study of Addiction in conjunction with the College of Education & the
College of Health Sciences. The Center, which includes a Video
Lending Library of over 900 titles, functions as a statewide information clearinghouse and resource referral center.
RADAR Relocates to Renovated Quarters
The RADAR Center has moved out of the south end of the "old" Health and Wellness Building and into the north end. The move has been a "step by step" process, side-stepping the activities involved with asbestos abatement, interior wall painting, remodeling, floor waxing, carpeting, and tech support installation. Alicia Wenigmann, the Center's student employee, proclaimed one day, 'We're coping with the move and the abatement "asbestos" we can.' So true!
The Center is open for business. Printed material is unpacked, and video publications are shelved. We now have an operating work room and an expanded storage area. Come visit our renovated RADAR Roundabout!
